Chicago's NBC-5 focused on a program at Illinois Masonic Hospital that provides support groups and educates children who have a sibling with autism. The story profiled the Wettig family, who have four boys, one of whom has autism.
Dr. Carol Rolland of Illinois Masonic Hospital says, "They have a tendency to hold this (sibling rivalry) inside, because they feel mom and dad are too burdened, and that's one of the reasons why sibling groups are so important."
