A British Paralympic athlete fiddled nearly £5,000 in benefits while working, a court heard.
Paraplegic wheelchair fencer Lee Fawcett, 32, claimed £65-a-week disability pay when earning £170,000 selling cars.
Fawcett — 12th at the Beijing Paralympics — had a house in Teesside, a £260,000 home and timeshare in Florida, and put in a £525,000 offer for another UK property.
Seized papers showed he bought and sold 151 cars in 18 months.
He was arrested last year in an operation by police, customs officials and the Department of Work and Pensions.
They were investigating dealing in VAT-free cars supplied to the disabled.
He was arrested after his home was searched, and his assets were frozen. Fawcett, of Hemlington, Middlesbrough, admitted failing to notify a change in circumstances at Teesside Crown Court.
He was given a four-month jail sentence, suspended for two years and ordered to pay £4,764 compensation.
