Dan Marino Foundation launches AuTube, an online conversation about autism

From AuTube's FAQ. Full disclosure: I am interviewed about media coverage and autism at AuTube. Pictured is Ari Ne'eman, president of the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) and who also stars in a new PSA from the Dan Marino Foundation called "No Myths."

What is AuTube?

AuTube is an issue-based social networking site created for anyone either on the autism spectrum or in the autism community. This new idea is meant to facilitate online discussions that focus on a single rotating topic.

How does it work?

Each month, we will introduce to you, our users, a new question related to life with or around autism. The introductory video will frame the question listed at the top of the page. With each question, a panel of experts will comment on their perspective.

The rest is in your hands. Users can then sign in, comment on the topic in question, post a link to a video response, and vote on a monthly poll. We will also be providing a list of resources pertaining to the current month's question. There, you will find links to books, websites, films and other media to fuel the dialogue. You can even submit your own resource to be added to the list and let us know what question you would ask the community.

AuTube is a platform for your voice, so sign in and let us know what you think!
