"Breaking Bad" showrunner explains why it was important to have an actor with CP on the show

From Inside Breaking Bad: Cerebral Palsy. RJ Mitte, an actor with CP, plays Walter Jr. on AMC's "Breaking Bad." I personally think "Breaking Bad" is one of the finest shows currently on TV. It addresses moral ambiguity in human lives in a way that "The Sopranos" did.

The show delves into the complex relationships within a family, especially when a family member is given a terminal cancer diagnosis. It also explores the empowerment that a beaten-down man can experience when he knows he's going to die.

The family (pictured) is played by Bryan Cranston (left), Anna Gunn (center) and Mitte (right). The handling of Walt Jr.'s CP is laudable. Sometimes it is referenced and sometimes it isn't. Just as it should be.
