MANTECA, Calif. -- Standard Pacific Homes has opened a development in Manteca, Montage II, featuring all single-story homes on relatively large lots starting at $230,100.
The 100 houses are designed to be at least 15 percent more energy efficient than state standards.
Standard Pacific is involved in California Energy Commission's New Solar Homes Partnership, so Montage II buyers can opt to purchase Sunergy electricity-generating solar roof panels for $14,100.
Buyers also can opt to have their homes modified with universal design features to accommodate those with disabilities.
The development has three flexible floor plans, with options including expanded great rooms, dens and formal dining rooms, as well as computer docking stations.
The subdivision's lots average 6,400 square feet.
The smallest home, with 1,384 square feet, has three bedrooms and a starting price of $230,100. The 1,565-square-foot plan has three bedrooms and a $246,300 starting price. The 1,751-square-foot plan has three or four bedrooms and a $262,000 starting price.
The homes were designed by OAG Architects Inc. of Benicia.
There are special property taxes in the subdivision that add $130 per month to the cost of the homes, which is in addition to the community's regular taxes.
