TORONTO -- Some of the best news stories and programs inthe country were honoured June 27 by RTNDA Canada, The Association of Electronic Journalists. RTNDA Canada presented its coveted Network RTNDA Awards at an event in Toronto.
CBC News: The National for Positively Autistic won the Dave Rogers Award for a Long Feature.
National awards were also presented to winning stations in Central Canada. Similar awards dinners have been held in Moncton, Edmonton and Vancouver over the past several weeks to honour winners from other regions of the country.
The awards program was the culmination of a conference focusing on the future of local news.
