NY Times photo slideshow includes U.S. Open wheelchair tennis

Shingo Kunieda of Japan won the wheelchair men's championship at the U.S. Open in New York last weekend, and is included in the 15-photo slideshow on The New York Times Web site.

It's nice to see more inclusion of disability sports in to the Sports section of a major newspaper like The New York Times.

Shingo Kunieda' (国枝 慎吾?, born February 21, 1984 in Tokyo) is a Japanese number one singles wheelchair tennis player. Kunieda is a right-hander whose favorite surface is hard court. His coach is Hiromichi Maruyama. His training base is the Tennis Training Center (TTC) in Kashiwa. Kunieda likes to listen to music and likes snakes when he is away from the court. Kunieda uses an Ox Engineering wheelchair. He graduated from Reitaku University Japan and now works for Reitaku University.
