"Charmed" star Alyssa Milano has filed a restraining order against Jeff Turner, a 54-year-old man who was featured in a documentary because of his near-psychotic obsession with '80s pop star Tiffany.
Alyssa's court documents refer to Turner as “an obsessed and mentally unstable celebrity stalker fan" whose conduct is “increasingly harassing, stalking and threatening."Alyssa says Turner hiked through woods, bypassed security guards and scaled gates to try to get into her home to see her.
He also called a San Francisco 49ers official to see if he won a contest to meet Alyssa at the game against the Jets on Sunday, according to the New York Post.
Alyssa says: "I fear for my personal safety, and that of my family and friends."
Turner, who has Asperger's Syndrome (a mild form of autism that impairs social functioning), still believes he and Tiffany are soulmates. Variety described his lifestyle as the "outer frontier of celebrity culture, where fandom meets mental illness."
A hearing to consider Alyssa's request for a restraining order is scheduled January 21.
