ILOILO CITY - Despite their condition, children with autism showed their photography skills in a photography workshop in Iloilo organized by Autism Society of the Philippines-Iloilo Chapter and the Photographic Society of Iloilo.
Happiness can be seen on the faces of special children while taking snapshots of animals, flowers, and other objects at an inland resort in Iloilo.
Through photography children who are suffering from autism were able to express their emotions by taking pictures.
It was also a big opportunity for these children to show their ability in photography.
Members of the PSI also gave their utmost support in teaching the special children.
ASP Committee head Cecile PestaƱo admitted that many have now understood the situation of children who are with autism.
She said however that some people are still ashamed upon learning that a member of their family has autism.
She said these people should not to be ashamed of their kin with autism and instead should support them and give them special care and attention.
