The Courts Service has apologised after a jury-member in a wheelchair couldn't gain access to the jury box in the Four Courts.
Judge Frank O'Donnell was forced to discharge the jury in a trial at the Circuit Criminal Court in Dublin March 4 because of the incident.
GardaĆ had tried to find a way to help the man up several steps to the jury box.
In a statement March 5, the Court Service apologised unreservedly and said the incident shouldn't have happened.
