The President's office is seeking to employ a person with a disability, President George Abela (pictured) said May 16.
Speaking at a meeting with people with disabilities at the President's Palace in Valletta May 16, Dr Abela insisted that "everybody has a place in society" and that the dignity of every person should be respected.
The President listened to concerns raised on issues such as education, the role of the disabled in the job sector, as well as the importance of technology.
The activity began with guided tours of the Palace, which is accessible for people with a disability. The President aims to hold a similar meeting in Gozo.
The meeting was organised with the cooperation of the National Commission for Persons with Disability.
