Eric Johnson of our television news partner, KOMO/4, won a 2009 National Edward R. Murrow Award for writing.
The pieces for which he was recognized are excellent, especially his follow-up story on Marin Morrison (pictured), a member of the 2008 USA Paralympics swim team who competed in Beijing while battling brain cancer.

Johnson's first story about Morrison came in 2005. The story, which can be viewed here with a video link at the bottom, is one you won't forget.
