A care home manageress who stole up to £20,000 from a Down's Syndrome sufferer in her charge has been jailed for 10 months.
Maria Arthur, 41, robbed Juliette Wylie - whose condition was caused by a stroke in her 20s - over two years.
But the thefts came to light only after Miss Wylie died aged 46 last year at the Ian Charles Care Home in Grange Park, Swindon, and her sister noticed she had just £125 left in her bank account.
Arthur, who has none of the money left, earlier admitted stealing £17,300 - though the home's owners believe the amount was nearer £20,000.
Judge Douglas Field told her at Swindon crown court: "This was a very vulnerable person who had to rely on people to look after her. You have broken a high degree of trust."
