Tianjin plans to give equal educational opportunities to children who suffer from serious disabilities by delivering an education service to the children's home.
Under the "Opinion on the Implementation of Delivering Education Service to Children of the Compulsory Education Period Who Are Suffering From Serious Disability" jointly drawn-up by the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission, Tianjin Municipal Finance Bureau, and Tianjin Municipal Disabled Person's Federation, the service is available to disabled children that have a Tianjin permanent residence and who can't receive education at schools due to their disability.
The service will be delivered to the home of the children twice a week and no less than 240 classes will be given each year, focusing on developing the potentials of the children and increasing their learning ability and their ability to adapt to life and society.
The service will be provided free of charge.
