Newly single Jenny McCarthy (pictured) has closed her school for autistic children.
The 37-year-old actress made the announcement just days after it was revealed she had split from long-time love Jim Carrey.
McCarthy had been an outspoken activist for autism since her son Evan, seven, was diagnosed with the development disability back in 2005.
She set up the Teach2Talk Academy with Sarah Scheflen but the pair have agreed to close its doors after having 'different' visions for the school
McCarthy's rep confirmed: 'Jenny and her partner at the Academy, Sarah Scheflen, had different visions for the school and made a decision to go their separate ways. Both intend to continue on in this important mission.'
Although the school is closing, McCarthy also serves as the head of the non-profit Autism organisation Generation Rescue, which is competing for a $250,000 grant as part of Pepsi's Refresh Project.
