A bus driver who refused to help a wheelchair user get off his vehicle in Manchester city centre has been dismissed pending an appeal after her son filmed his actions on a mobile phone.
Renu Duggal, 46, from Timperley, Greater Manchester, asked the First bus driver to operate an automatic ramp to allow her to get off at Piccadilly - but he refused, citing a bad back.
The driver has now been dismissed, pending appeal, following an inquiry.
Mrs Duggal told the BBC she thought he should have escaped with a warning.
