CENTRAL POINT Ore., Law makers in Salem are considering two house bills that would change the way severely disabled students are taught.
Supporters say students with learning disabilities deserve the same opportunity as other students to participate in things like pep rallies, music and PE classes, dances and other school activities Steps students at the Central campus aren't getting.
Schools say if these bills pass they will have to try to replicate a program that's been successful for over 25-years. Plus they say there's not enough money to do it right.
