Canadian parents file a lawsuit saying a school bus driver threatened to behead their son with autism

From UPI:

OTTAWA, Canada -- A civil lawsuit in the Canadian capital of Ottawa alleges a school bus driver threatened to behead a screaming autistic boy with an ax, which the driver denies.

The incident, which dates back to September 2006, involves an unidentified boy who was 10 at the time, the Ottawa Sun reported Sept. 9.

The lawsuit alleges the woman bus driver first told the screaming child to be quiet or she would cut his head off. The driver then allegedly shook the bus's emergency ax at the boy.

In a statement of defense, the driver, her employer and the public school board claim the parents are making "willfully false allegations." They deny the boy suffered psychic trauma from the incident, alleging its source is his lifetime autism.

The parents are seeking $750,00 in damages in the case, which has not yet gone to trial, the Sun said.
