Deaf West Theatre in North Hollywood will receive a matching grant that will go toward new captioning technology to enhance service to deaf audiences and improve interactivity with patrons through the Internet. Theatre Communications Group (TCG) didn't specify how much money the company will receive, but the grant could be as high as $65,000.
The grant money comes from a program that is co-organized by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and Theatre Communications Group.
