Gallaudet University hosts forum on Linguistic Human Rights, Future of Sign Languages

The Office of the Provost and the Department of American Sign Language and Deaf Studies at Gallaudet University are sponsoring a one-day forum on Linguistic Human Rights and the Future of Sign Languages on Oct. 24. This event will bring together leading scholars to discuss critical issues facing the future vitality of sign languages and linguistic diversity. The event is free and open to the entire university community.

Where: Sorenson Language and Communication Center (SLCC) atrium, Gallaudet University

When: Friday, October 24, 2008, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
