SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The father of an adult woman with Down's syndrome has been convicted of sexually abusing her, says the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office.
A Sacramento jury found Clive McGaw, 65, guilty of three counts of sexual abuse of a dependent adult and one count of failure to register as a sexual offender.
Shelly Orio, spokeswoman for the D.A.'s office, said McGaw came to the attention of authorities when he was seen kissing his 25-year-old daughter while she was touching him inappropriately at the UC Davis Medical Center in February 2008.
In its investigation, the Sacramento Police Department learned McGaw was previously convicted of molesting two children.
Orio said detectives determined McGaw was sexually abusing his daughter.
Sentencing was set for April 8 in Sacramento County Superior Court.
