Surrealist playwright premieres works at NY Fringe Festival

John Sinner

The News Blaze reports that L.A. Surrealist Playwright/Director/Actor/Exhibited Painter John Sinner will premiere his Theatre Revelation non-profit company works: "2 BY SINNER" - two one-act plays at The New York International Fringe Festival- FringeNYC August 8.

Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, Sinner said he has recently "come out of the multiple sclerosis closet," facing his fears, according to News Blaze. The National MS Society interviewed him and he told the story of how he wants to put a face on MS that isn't about tragedy:

Sinner said he has grown tired of acquaintances telling him about someone they know who has MS and whose life stinks, in a well-meaning but misguided attempt at sympathy. He figures the best way to change perceptions is to tell as many people as he can about his disease — and his success.

“I hope the next time they meet someone with MS, they’re going to tell my story. They’re going to say, ‘I know this artist named John Sinner, and he’s doing great.’”
