Daughter of Jerry Lewis plans to release memoir about her life, which includes disability, homelessness

According to Suzan Lewis' Web site, she plans to release her memoir Feb. 22 when her biological father, comedian Jerry Lewis, will receive the Humanitarian Award at the Oscars. His award is being protested by disability activists, and their petition against his award now has 2041 signatures.

In her book, Jerry's Kid: The Suzan Lewis Story, the biological daughter of Lewis writes that
"there are no illegitimate children, only illegitimate parents." Her topics in the book include "being a teenage socialite and New York debutante, learning she is the biological daughter of entertainer and 'humanitarian,' Jerry Lewis, being disabled as a result of a nearly fatal auto accident, and her valiant fight back from being poor and homeless during the past decade."
