A short documentary about the disabled women who attended the 4th World Conference on Women in Beijing in 1995, "Disabled Women: Visions and Voices," is now available online. It is "a photo and audio documentary celebrating the experiences and accomplishments of disabled women at the First International Symposium on Issues of Women with Disabilities, the UN Fourth World Conference on Women and NGO Forum."
The 13-minute documentary is an important piece of disability history and is accessible, with narration and closed captioning. The documentary was produced and directed by Patricia Chadwick and Suzanne C. Levine, the founder of the National Center on Disability and Journalism.
