The girls arrive at the CBS studios and are taken to a room where Lara Spencer, the host of The Insider, is interviewing comedian Ant. They explain that if the models can be a double or triple threat, that will make them more attractive to producers. They point out Kim and Bree from Cycle 5 as an example.
Lara says that the girls are going to take her place and interview Ant, who will play an actor in a fictional movie called Attack Of The Five Foot Models. The purpose is to see how fast they can think on their feet.
After the girls have all given it a shot, they meet Ann Shoket, the editor-in-chief of Seventeen, who reveals that they will now be testing their skills by interviewing a real-life celebrity - Jessica Lowndes from 90210.
Laura (pictured) is worried about reading the teleprompter because of her dyslexia, but the producers of the show have other ideas. Each model soon discovers that the teleprompter is switched off halfway through the interview and they must cope on their own.
Jennifer and Erin are praised for being unflappable, while Sundai is confident but interrupts Jessica. Laura initially blanks out and curses but soon manages to take control. Less successful are Brittany, Nicole and Rae. The producers reckon Brittany is not listening and concentrating more on her questions, Rae is branded unmemorable and Nicole is criticised for being nervous and asking inappropriate questions.
Erin is named the winner of the challenge and she is asked to pick two models to share her prize. She chooses Jennifer and Rae to join her on a beauty shoot for Seventeen.
Back at the Top Model house, the girls discover a pile of boxes and a letter which says they will be filming a commercial for Cover Girl the next day. The only catch? They have to write their own scripts. The boxes contain make-up, pens, paper and a stopwatch as the script must be exactly 25 seconds long.
Laura panics because of her dyslexia, while Erin announces that she has quickly finished, much to the anger of Nicole who calls her inconsiderate.
At the Cover Girl filming the next day, they meet Teyana, the winner of the previous cycle, who gives them advice about handling the demands of the commercial. Mr Jay says that he is going to look over their scripts and that the commercial will be overseen by Nigel.
Nigel is impressed by Nicole (started weak, but pulled through), Jennifer (naturally charming) and Laura (fantastic at bringing personality to shoot). He is less happy with Sundai (very disappointing), Brittany (boring), Rae (can't show personality) and Erin, who gets so upset by the pressure that she needs to have her make-up reapplied four times.
At the judging, Tyra is joined by Nigel, Miss J and Kim Kardashian. They praise Jennifer for being "natural, relatable and adorable", while they appreciate how Laura personalized her script and her struggle with dyslexia. Nigel says that Nicole started weak but was easy to direct and smyizing, which Tyra is impressed by.
