Innovators at Kinetic Communications have rigged the popular video game Rock Band so it is now accessible to wheelchair users.
Instead of a drum pedal that cannot be operated by those without foot movement, the DIY modification is a doorbell to work as the kick drum button and screwed to a drum stick.
Not the most beautiful modification in the world, but it got their wheelchair user buddy drumming for about $20, the folks at Joystiq say. They have easy-to-follow modification instructions on their Web site.
