HAVERHILL, N.H.—Friends of a Vermont man who was stabbed to death last week say he was developmentally disabled and was taken advantage of by the men charged in his death.
Christopher Gray, 25, of Groton, Vt., was found dead Thursday at a mobile home in Haverhill shared by Timothy Smith and Anthony Howe. Smith, 23, is charged with second-degree murder; Howe, 18, is charged with hindering apprehension.
The victim and Smith both worked at Wal-Mart. Gray's caretaker says Gray was too trusting of others and got taken advantage of.
Smith is being held without bail. Howe is being held on $100,000 bail.
